Topics
-
Human–LLM collaboration for science production
- Guide idea generation through user feedback (Radensky et al., 2025, Gottweis et al., 2025);
- Automated experimentation following the experimental workflow used by human scientists, e.g., the workflow from data preprocessing to comparison to baselines;
- Human-curated datasets of influential scientific papers, used to fine-tune LLMs for generating impactful ideas and high-quality paper content like figures;
- Human–LLM co-authored peer reviews, e.g., LLM-assisted peer review platforms (Sun et al., 2024).
-
Evaluation of LLMs for science production and LLM-assisted papers
- Benchmark datasets that evaluate LLMs for idea generation (Chai et al.,2024), experimentation (Chen et al., 2024), multimodal content generation (Belouadi et al., 2024), scientific writing (Liang et al., 2024);
- Evaluation metrics that detect problematic papers, e.g., those with suspicious citations and tortured phrases;
- Reporting statistics of LLM-assisted papers, e.g., topics, citations and retractions.
Submission Guidelines
The workshop welcomes two types of submission -- long and short papers. Long papers may consist of up to 8 pages of content, plus unlimited pages of references. Short papers may consist of up to 4 pages of content, plus unlimited pages of references. Note that papers submitted as non-archival will not be included in the workshop proceedings.
Submission Modes
- Standard submissions: We invite the submission of papers that will receive up to three double-blind reviews from the SciProdLLM committee, and a final decision of acceptance from the workshop chairs.
- Pre-reviewed submissions: We invite unpublished papers that have already been reviewed either through ACL ARR, or recent AACL/EACL/ACL/EMNLP/COLING venues. These papers will not receive new reviews but will be judged together with their reviews via a meta-review from the workshop chairs.
- Published papers: We invite papers that have been published recently elsewhere to present at SciProdLLM. Please send the details of your paper (Paper title, authors, publication venue, abstract, and a link to download the paper) directly to SciProdLLM@groups.io. This allows such papers to gain more visibility from the workshop audience.
